My love of anything having to do with dolls and dollhouses started long before I became a serious doll collector. As children, dolls are our playmates, our best friends, and (in the dark of the night) sometimes our protectors. This web page is a place for me to share with other doll lovers of all ages, the dolls I have spent my whole life collecting. Make sure to click the "Older Posts" button at the bottom of the page in order to see the whole collection.

Quarter Scale Miniatures

I've been trying my hand at a quarter scale dollhouse. In quarter scale, something that is a foot long in real life will only be a quarter inch long in the miniature version. Everything is so very tiny that it is hard to make all the little items--or even keep track of them. I lost several perfume bottles while working on the above piece. You drop something that small in the carpet and you will never see it again. I bought the dressing table, then made all the little things to go on top.

This quarter scale kitchen is still in process. Before I am though it will have all sorts of little items on the shelves. When I finish the whole house, I will post pictures of the final product.
