My love of anything having to do with dolls and dollhouses started long before I became a serious doll collector. As children, dolls are our playmates, our best friends, and (in the dark of the night) sometimes our protectors. This web page is a place for me to share with other doll lovers of all ages, the dolls I have spent my whole life collecting. Make sure to click the "Older Posts" button at the bottom of the page in order to see the whole collection.

Paper Doll Cases Made From Altoid Tins

Who didn't love playing with paper dolls as a child? I used to do my chores faithfully when I was a little girl, so that I could earn my allowance and buy new paper dolls at the store to ad to my collection. I also used to cut out and create my own from the pictures in an old Butterick's pattern catalog I got from the fabric store. One of my favorite paper doll projects is to create a paper doll wardrobe out of an old Altoid tin. (Like the one pictured below) It is extremely easy to find free paper dolls on the web. All you have to do is decorate a box home to go with them. If you really want to get fancy, you can print off more than one copy of each outfit and cut it out in layers, thereby giving it some 3D texture, like I did. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
